August 2003 saw me back beside the railway with a camera in hand! This was after a break of 22 years, during which aircraft had dominated the scene. It was the purchase of a DSLR body in 2002 (a Canon D60 with a massive 6 meg sensor!) coupled with a little prodding from a couple of railway enthusiasts who were also heavily into aircraft that made me give it another look. I had been heavily into B&W from 1957 right through to 1966, then again from 1978 to 1981, but rolling your own film canisters, plus hours of mixing, developing, drying and then printing had taken the fun out of it for me, so aircraft pics on slide won the day!
